Payments look like a solved problem until you sell across borders, take wholesale orders, launch a subscription or start selling higher priced products. Then the questions pile up. Which gateway, which local methods, whether to offer pay later, how renewals retry and how any of it lands in the accounting system.
We set up payments and subscriptions as part of the commerce stack rather than as apps chosen in a hurry. The aim is a checkout that converts, fees you understand and records finance can trust.
What we configure
- Gateways and methods. Card processing, digital wallets and local payment methods for each market, through your platform's native payments or a provider such as Adyen or Airwallex.
- Buy now pay later. Options such as Afterpay where basket sizes and customers suit them, with messaging that does not clutter the product page.
- Subscriptions. Recurring orders, prepaid plans and subscriber portals through tools such as Recharge, including how skips, swaps and failed renewals are handled.
- Deposits and pre-orders. Partial payments for made-to-order, high-value or not-yet-released products through apps such as Downpay.
- B2B terms. Net terms, invoices and purchase orders for trade customers alongside card payments.
Decisions we help you settle
Every option adds a fee, a setting or a support question. We look at your average order value, your markets, your refund patterns and your existing finance processes, then recommend what to switch on and what to leave off. Multi-currency is a good example. Showing local prices is one decision and settling in local currency is another, and they carry different costs.
The parts customers never see
Payout reconciliation, refund flows, dunning for failed subscription payments and the fraud settings behind them are tested before launch, not discovered at the first month end. We document how money moves from checkout to your bank and your ledger, so finance can trace any order without asking a developer.
Payments touch everything else in the stack, so this work sits inside our omnichannel and B2B commerce service. If AI agents are starting to buy for your customers, see agent payments integration. For selling in several currencies, see internationalization and multi-market.
