Lifecycle marketing is the set of automated messages a customer receives based on where they are in their relationship with your brand. A first visit, an abandoned cart, a first order, a second order, a long silence since the last purchase. Each moment calls for a different message, and the right time to send it is set by the customer's behaviour, not by the campaign calendar.
Most mid-market brands already have the basic flows running. The trouble sits underneath them. Events are missing or fire twice, product data in emails is out of date, wholesale buyers receive consumer promotions and nobody is sure which flow is responsible for which revenue.
What we build
- Flow architecture. A map of every automated flow with its trigger, exit rules and priority, so a customer does not receive five messages in one day.
- Core flows. Welcome, browse and cart abandonment, post-purchase, replenishment, back in stock and win-back, written and designed for your brand.
- Data and events. Store, subscription, loyalty and support events passed reliably into your email and SMS platform, with consistent naming.
- Segmentation. Segments based on purchase history, channel and customer type, including separate handling for wholesale and retail accounts.
- Deliverability. Sign-up forms, consent capture and list hygiene that protect your sender reputation.
Tools
Most of our lifecycle work happens in Klaviyo, which integrates natively with Shopify Plus and BigCommerce and holds a detailed record of each customer's activity. We also build in Omnisend, and can work with other platforms when they are already in place and doing the job.
How we measure it
Revenue attributed inside an email platform tends to flatter the channel, because a customer who would have bought anyway still gets counted. We look at it alongside holdout groups where volume allows, repeat purchase rates and order data in your analytics. That lets you judge which flows create sales and which only take credit for them.
We also review flows on a regular schedule. Products change, promotions end and seasonal messages linger long after the season. A short review keeps the program accurate.
Lifecycle marketing is part of our conversion rate optimization service. It works best with reviews and loyalty programs feeding it events, and with conversion tracking and attribution your team trusts.
