How we build composable ecommerce experiences with Yotpo.
Yotpo covers reviews, ratings, loyalty and customer photos. Social proof only works where the decision happens, so reviews belong on the product page and star ratings belong in category listings.
We render them without handing your page over to a third party script, which keeps the site fast. We will also help you decide what is worth showing. Not every widget earns the space it takes.
Is Yotpo right for my ecommerce brand?
Who it's for
Brands where the buying decision needs social proof, and where loyalty or referrals could be doing more than they currently are.
Considered purchases where shoppers research before buying
Categories where fit, quality or durability is the main objection
Brands wanting reviews, loyalty and referrals in one place
What it solves
Reviews exist but aren't visible where the decision gets made
Review widgets slow the page down
The loyalty programme has low awareness and enrolment
User-generated content looks like a third-party bolt-on rather than part of the brand
Common questions about integrating Yotpo for your ecommerce brand.
Do product reviews actually increase conversion?
Yes, particularly on considered purchases where the shopper is weighing up risk. Reviews answer the objection your product page cannot, which is whether people like them were happy afterwards. The effect is strongest on higher priced and harder to judge items.
Should we use Yotpo for reviews, loyalty or both?
Reviews first, almost always. Reviews affect whether a first time visitor buys at all, and loyalty only matters once you have customers to keep. Running both on one platform means the loyalty programme can reward reviewing, which is where the combination earns its cost.
Will review content help our SEO?
It helps in two ways. Reviews add fresh, unique text to product pages that would otherwise carry only manufacturer copy, and review markup can produce star ratings in search results, which lifts click through. Neither is a substitute for the rest of your SEO work.
How do we get reviews when we are starting from nothing?
Post purchase requests timed to when the customer has actually used the product, not when it shipped. Importing historical reviews from a previous platform helps if you have them. Expect it to take a few months of consistent asking before coverage looks credible.
Does a loyalty programme make sense for our brand?
Only if customers have a genuine reason to come back. For consumables and replenishables it usually pays for itself. For one time or very infrequent purchases, a loyalty programme adds cost and complexity without changing behaviour, and referrals are the better lever.
