Lightspeed was founded in Montréal in 2005 and is built for retailers and restaurants that sell in person first. Its point of sale, inventory, payments and ecommerce share one system, and it is common in specialist retail like apparel, bike shops, jewellery and sporting goods.
We work with Lightspeed in two ways. For brands staying on it, we connect Lightspeed to the rest of the stack, including the ERP and marketing tools, so stock and customer records stay the same in store and online. For brands whose online channel has outgrown it, we plan the move to a platform like Shopify Plus while the stores keep trading.
Either way the first job is the same. Agree which system holds the real stock count, then make every channel read from it. Our omnichannel and POS work starts there.
