Not prepared to compromise on online experience anymore than they are on product quality, 7mesh came to us to redesign and replatform their eCommerce store. In just a few months after launch, 7mesh experienced an increase of nearly 50% in online revenue. Since then, we have achieved over 100% year over year growth online.
The path we rode.
We first met with 7mesh in September 2017, shortly after lululemon athletica had committed to a strategic partnership to sell 7mesh’s high-performance cycling gear in their stores as of Summer 2018.
While 7mesh already had a relatively well established and successful global B2B business, they quickly realized that this anticipated brand exposure would present a unique opportunity to market and sell directly to their customer. For the next stage of their growth, they needed a premium digital experience to effectively compete within the North American market.
Our initial engagement consisted of a deep dive and audit of 7mesh’s previous eCommerce platform (NetSuite SuiteCommerce), an assessment of their growth objectives vs capabilities of their technology stack, and create a roadmap for addressing the challenges and opportunities ahead.

As much as adventure is at the core of 7mesh’s ethos, being able to showcase it is at the heart of how they engage with their community. On the new website, each piece of gear now has its own unique story conveyed on the product pages using video, photography, reviews, and testimonials.
We created design components that allow 7mesh to individually merchandize product and landing pages, effectively boosting their internal marketing capabilities and efficiency.

As an already established global player in the performance apparel marketplace, 7mesh wanted to ensure that their customers, new and loyal, felt as little friction when purchasing their gear and interacting with their brand. We produced regionalized storefronts for Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Europe, and Switzerland which pull inventory from 3 international warehouses and transacted in 5 separate currencies. This ensures that their customers are not hit by foreign exchange charges and have access to gear just in time for the next race weekend.

With a steady rise in mobile traffic to 7mesh.com over the years, refreshing their mobile eCommerce experience was an absolute necessity. Many areas of the site, such as the product display pages and checkout flow, were streamlined and build to adapt to increasingly demanding customer behaviours.
The road we travel.
We know that the road ahead will present more challenging hills to climb. Establishing the right foundations is the beginning to a journey that will require strong operational efficiency and automation to reduce internal load on resourcing, investment into interactive merchandising to improve customer experience and buying motivation, and high ROI content marketing, remarketing, and advertising spend.
